Junaid Safdar, the son of Maryam Nawaz Sharif, is scheduled to arrive in Pakistan and establish permanent residence there. Maryam Nawaz will reportedly return to Pakistan in two weeks, while her son Junaid and his wife Ayesha Saif will fly from Doha to Pakistan on Friday.
On Wednesday in the late afternoon, Maryam and Nawaz Sharif departed from London for Geneva, where they would stay for a week. In October and November, Junaid Safdar travelled to Europe with his mother and grandfather for three weeks. When Junaid and his wife Ayesha were about to depart from Doha, Qatar for Pakistan, Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz had just arrived in Geneva.
The pair travelled to Doha a week ago and stayed at Senator Saif ur Rehman’s business partner Ayesha Saif’s residence.
According to a source, the pair would relocate permanently to Pakistan where they will help Maryam Nawaz with her activities.
A graduate of Cambridge University, Junaid Safdar holds two master’s degrees and two bachelor’s degrees from UK institutions. He enjoys playing polo and has excelled in matches for British universities. After her trip to Geneva, Maryam is anticipated to come back to the nation in roughly a week. Nawaz Sharif’s return, but, hasn’t been decided yet. According to sources, the PML-N leader will return to Pakistan in a few months, and plans are already in motion.
Maryam’s appointment as senior vice president of PML-N
In appointing Maryam Nawaz as the senior vice president of the PML-N on Tuesday, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif gave her the power to “reorganise” the party “at all functional levels.”
The announcement sent out by PM Shehbaz, the party president, was conveyed by information minister Marriyum Aurangzeb, who is also the information secretary for the party.
“Pursuant to the powers conferred under the constitution of the PML-N, the undersigned is pleased to appoint Maryam Nawaz Sharif as senior vice president with immediate effect,” the notification stated.
It should be emphasised that Maryam is likely to command attention given her recent selection as the PML-senior N’s vice president and chief organiser. Before her elevation, she served as the vice president of the PML-N and was very involved in organising the party’s election campaigns and holding public events in several locations.
