The tenth studio album from US popstar Taylor Swift, Midnights, was published on Friday along with additional tracks that were created while the album was being produced.

The 13-track album is “a collage of intensity, highs, and lows, ebbs and flows,” according to the 32-year-old singer-songwriter.

“Life can be dark, starry, cloudy, terrifying, electrifying, hot, cold, romantic, or lonely Just like Midnights,” she said.

While describing the album’s title track, “Anti-Hero,” as one of her favorite songs she had ever written and which dives into her insecurities, Swift claimed she first heard the term “Lavender Haze” while watching the television series Mad Men about being in love.

Here’s the teaser trailer for the videos I’ve made for Midnights ???? Thank you @amazonmusic for premiering this, the first video for Anti-Hero will be out tomorrow at 8am ET. And Midnights will be here SO SOON!!!https://t.co/jjqUNkpPke pic.twitter.com/xzmqXa5Cqy

Singer Lana Del Rey is featured on the song “Snow On The Beach,” who Swift claimed to have long admired.

While Midnights is a concept album “about the intensity of that mystifying, insane hour,” – she loves sharing her creative process with fans and has released additional songs that weren’t included on the record.

With her most recent albums, Folklore and Evermore, which she unexpectedly released amid the Covid-19 pandemic, Swift, who has won 11 Grammy Awards, has topped the charts.
