Shehroze Kashif, a climber from Pakistan, has been honoured by Guinness World Records for the year 2023 for summiting Mount Everest and K2.
Shehroze, now 20 years old and known as Broad Boy, became the world’s youngest climber last year when he conquered the 8,849-metre-high Everest and the 8,611-metre-high killer mountain K2.
“Alhumdulilah! I am published in the 2023 edition of the Guinness Book of World Records! My achievement of being the youngest ever to summit Everest and K2 has been recognized, “the aspiring mountaineer tweeted the news.
For the achievement, he also congratulated his family, his supporters, the Karakoram Club, and Guinness World Records.
Shehroze was recognised in the Guinness World Records in 2021, therefore this is not the first time he has been included.
As he topped the 11th-tallest mountain in the world, Gasherbrum-1, in August of this year, Shehroze also made history by being the youngest person to ever summit 10 peaks above 8,000 metres.
Shehroze summited Kanchenjunga, Lhotse, and Makalu in Nepal earlier this year in less than a month before summiting Nanga Parbat.
