A day after several celebs and social media backed his ex-wife, Aliza Sultan, actor Feroze Khan issued a statement refuting all abuse claims made against him. He referred to allegations as false and claimed that as a supporter of human rights, he had “never intentionally hurt another human being.”
Yesterday on Tuesday, he spoke about the case on Instagram and wrote, “I, Feroze Khan vehemently deny any baseless, malicious, and untruthful allegations which have been leveled against me and are circulating on the social media rumor mill. These allegations have no basis in truth or reality. I fully intend to institute legal proceedings against the perpetrators of these actions and I have instructed my legal team accordingly.”
The well-known actor from the play “Khaani” said he is a responsible person who has not caused harm to anyone. “I would categorically like to state that I have always followed the law in its true letter and spirit, and have never knowingly hurt another human being. I very strongly believe in all human rights of every human inhabiting planet earth.”
He made his declaration after emergency department reports and pictures of his ex-wife Sultan with bruises from an attack began to spread on social media. A report from the Accident and Emergency Department at Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre describing “blunt injuries on both arms, [the] back, chest, and face” as well as other papers submitted to a District East Family Court were also included. Also noted was a “little nosebleed.” It was classified as an “assault” in the provisional diagnosis. Sultan’s X-rayed face was checked by the doctor, who then gave her a Panadol prescription.
She also included a medico-legal officer report dated November 16, 2020, from the Darakhshan Police Station, in addition to the medical report. She was treated at JPMC after being hurt in a “personal fight,” according to the statement.
Aliza Sultan has received overwhelming support from the entertainment community. Mariyam Nafees, Asim Azhar, Osman Khalid Butt, Mansha Pasha, Shae Gill, Ushna Shah, Minal, and Aiman Khan, and Usman Mukhtar were just a few of the celebrities that expressed their love and support for her on social media.
The family court is currently reviewing two cases: one brought by Khan for custody of their two children and one brought by Sultan for child support. The case will be heard again on November 1st.
