The most anticipated fight of the year will be held on September 17, 2022 between the Mexican boxer Canelo Álvarez and Gennady GGG Golovkin from Kazakhstan. The two will face each other 4 years after their last encounter in 2018. The first fight resulted in a draw while the second went to the judges who scored the fight in favor of Canelo.
Both fighters had opposite results in their latest fights; Canelo was KO’ed by Dmitry Bivol in May while Gennady managed to stop Ryota Murata in round 9 when they faced each other in April this year. Canelo Alvarez aged 32 will face the now 40 year old Gennady Golovkin at Resorts World Las Vegas hotel. The trilogy will conclude in supreme fashion on Saturday.
