YouTube is going to launch a new feature that will allow select creators to go live on YouTube with another guest creator.
Only mobile phones—not desktops – will be able to co-stream content from The Creator Inside Channel.
Livestream allows for the rotation of guests, although only one can be present at once. Some creators will be able to use this feature and go Live together in the coming weeks, with their stream feed showing above their guests while they are streaming.
To give the host the only revenue, YouTube will permit advertisements to appear on guest streams. Additionally, the stream won’t be visible on the guest’s channel, but the platform acknowledges that visibility is important for a creator and intends to roll it out soon.
Similar Live feature was recently added to TikTok’s platform, allowing creators to go live with up to five people. Additionally, Twitch made the feature available, allowing creators to go Live with multiple viewers at once.
